User Journey Map steps and text!!

JOURNEY MAP STEPS



1) Walking down Cuba Street after visiting the bank.
THINKING: I feel so supervised and judged. They made me feel like I know nothing about money. Why are bank deposits so confusing.
FEELINGS: intimidated, anxious, alone, unsure.

2) Notices line designs on ground leading to a poster. Follows tape to poster, reads the information.
THINKING: What is that, I wonder what it’s about? That sounds like it would benefit me so much, they’re on different nights as well so if I can’t go one night, I can go another night.
FEELING: Intrigued, hopeful, excited, nervous.

3) At home alone, receives letter in the mail. Utility bills are due next week. Flicks through Facebook feed.
THINKING: Why is life always so hard. I wish I knew how to manage my bills better! Why don’t my flat mates know how to do this?
FEELING: Stressed out, frustrated, confused, alone.

4) See’s the Facebook pop up that their friend shared, clicks through to the website, eventually registers for the event and notes down the time and place.
THINKING: Oh, there’s that event from that poster I saw. This sounds super casual and seems like a new event, so I won’t be the only newcomer. Maybe I should go along just for a look. Yay they have a night on money!
FEELING: Interested, Excited.

5) Arrives at the events, checks in, and takes a seat. Receives booklet. Welcome and agenda.
THINKING: What a welcoming atmosphere. This is so cool, that girl on check in was so nice. I’m so keen to hear this talk, oh yum nibbles after!
FEELING: happy, Nervous, unsure.

6) Takes a seat before the guest speaker begins. Runs for 30mins.
THINKING: Wow Erin has some really cool insights into banking, This gives me something to talk about afterwards. I’ve learned heaps of new stuff which will benefit me!
FEELING: inspired, relaxed, informed.

7)Talk ends,they grab a drink and some yummy nibbles, wanders around mingling and chatting with the other guests.
THINKING: I’m so nervous but the hosts are so nice! Thank god I can walk around freely and not be forced into conversation/making friends. There are so many different people here who I relate to.
FEELING: reassured, excited, connected, elevated, relaxed.

8) Leaves event, arrives home. Checks photo feed section of website and uploads photo to Facebook. Tweets about event.
THINKING: That went better than I expected! I want to check out those photo’s from tonight.. I wonder when they’ll be put up? That was such a good time, I need to tell my friends about this.
FEELING: Acknowledged, connected, excited, relaxed, happy.

9) Looks through photo’s on website which have been uploaded. See’s an update for the next event coming up, clicks on the upcoming events page link. Notes down when the next event is
THINKING: OMG my photo is hilarious, everyone looks like they were having fun. Ooh there’s another event night coming up about how to get the best from your buck. That sounds cool, I think I’ll go and bring my mates along.
FEELING: good, intrigued, pumped.
